168 BTHP's @ wideners ??

It comes out to around 17.00 per hundred if you buy the 2000.They look pretty decent.I hope someone chimes in and says they shoot awesome and I will place my order. I wouldnt be afraid to try some.

Even though my intended need is quite different from anyone else's here, I had hoped someone had tried them for at least NM 200 yd standing practice, and had offered to sell me 100 or so to test. OH WELL

I bought some of the 175's about a year ago. If you are looking to shoot itty bitty groups forget it. For plinking or blasting steel they work fine.

I have 280 of the 175's left, and 47 pulled Berger 175 VLD's I'll sell for $65.00 shipped if anyones interested.

Good offer for someone wanting to try the 175's, I've got a bunch of thoses, wanted to try the 168's for a little less Wt.. may have to bite the bullet and get a box of 155's to try.

I bought 500 of the 172gr FMJ bullets and sent them back as they were not the "new" sniper bullet used by the military, but the old one good for moderate range.

Then, I bought 500 of the 168gr, 308 HPBT. They are indeed Prvi Partizan and are a copy of the 168 SMK. I don't know how good a copy as I used them for my K31 and actually won a vintage match at 200 yd with "as issued" open sights. I am in the process of trying some 175gr SMK s to duplicate the original Swiss military ammo. They shoot great and later this week I will shoot some for record with a diopter sight at 200 yd and some with open sights at 100 yd. We will see how they compare with the 168 gr Prvi's.
For my purposes, they are great!

They're advertised as "Match Grade at Half the Price".

I buy Nosler Custom Competition 168gr BTHP's in boxes of 1,000 from Powder Valley @$210/box. For about $0.04/bullet I get a real match bullet.

I think he meant for .04 cents more per bullet you get a real match bullet.

He did state his intended need is standing off hand practice. I don't think he needs to drop a lot of money to buy "Match Bullets". The Prvi bullets are fine, and a value for what they are. In my semi auto's i use the Prvi match ammo and it shoots just as well as the name brands.

I bought 2000 of them. I've yet to shoot them, but I've bearing surface sorted all of them. They seem to have come off of 2 machines and the ranges was greater than that of match bullets from the big name manufacturers. The tips are a little bit gnarly. I have meplat trimmed a few. So it looks like they are not as consistent, but easily sortable into usable lots. I'd say that would be consistent for accuracy. I'll keep you posted as to when I shoot them.

They are not the best but will shoot about MOA maybe a little more. I tried sorting them and I was able to get under MOA consistently. For off hand practice they are a good choice.
