140gr ELD-M Jump in SAMMI Chamber?

Can anybody please share what the typical jump is with factory Hornady 6.5 CM 140gr ELD-M in a SAMMI spec chamber (0.199" freebore)?

0.030?
0.032?
0.050?
Something else?

Hornady ELD/AMAX love to jump. Nothing is too much for them for good accuracy. For me in rifles I shoot them in .050-.080 is ideal. The ELDX is similar.

So what is the typical jump using factory-loaded 140 ELDM in a SAAMI chamber? That's what I'm trying to figure out. It's not about how I should seat hand loads.

At 600 rounds, my rifle had a 0.032" jump using factory 140 ELDM ammo. I'm just trying to work backward and deduce what my chamber spec might have been. Because I suspect it wasn't SAAMI. My guess is when new, it had a .030" jump with factory ammo, which might equate to a .169" freebore instead of .199" (SAAMI). But I need to know what other people are seeing on a verified SAAMI chamber using the same ammo.

Probably shouldn't have replied and waste your time. I don't shoot factory ammo. Someone will weigh in on that exact spec but sorry it's not me. I guess I thought you were wondering if too much or not enough jump would hurt accuracy with ELDs.

Yeah, I'm really trying to figure out freebore. Just using jump and factory ammo to work backward because I don't know what kind of reamer was used on my barrel.

Hand loads. they're longer than SAMMI/Mag length. This is in 223 2.385 COAL and 1.835 CBTO length

My experience with most, 6MM and 6.5 Dia. Hornady Bullets ( Eld-M, ELD-X's and V-Maxes ) is that, they usually Like from,.. .025 to .030 min. "off" to about, .120 "off" the lands max, in My 2 Tikka SAMMI chambered Rifles ( .243 Win and 6.5 Creed ) and in my 6 XC, Criterion Barrel with, .104 Free Bore ( it liked, .040 to .050 "off" ).
But, I'd let your Rifle,.. "Tell you"

Personally, I start my loads at, .025 off with Hornady Bullets with, Near Max Charges of Powder and move the Bullet outward towards Lands, in .020 increments shooting 4 shot, group's ( In case, I "Pull" one, I still have, 3 to, look at).
With, 5 or, 6 sets of 4 shots each, you should have at least, One, good group. ( Take 2 Rifles to, Keep BBl,.. COOL ! )
THEN, you can "Fine Tune" around that with, Bullet depth & Powder chg. Good Luck !
You will Probably find, "best tune" with 143 ELD-X's at approx. .040 to, .090 "Off".
I'm liking .085 "off" in my, Tikka 6.5 creed with, 43.1 grs of StaBall and 143 ELD-X's but, I haven't shot enough to really "Tell",.. for sure, Yet !
