LE Wilson VLD Seating Stem, needed for Hornady .264 ELD-M?

I'm going to try handloading Hornady .264 140gr ELD-M bullets for my 6.5 Creedmoor rifle. I seat 140gr BTHP bullets now using the LE Wilson inline die with the standard stem, should I use the VLD stem for the ELD-M bullets? From what I can tell, the ELD-Ms don't rest on the tip with the standard stem but, there may be reasons for using the VLD stem other than tip clearance.

Thank you.

The VLD stem will engage the bullet further down from the tip and increase you ability to have less runout.

I’ll let you know how it works as I’m waiting on LEWilson get a VLD stem for Berger 140 gr hybrid targets. The standard stem hits the bullet very near the meplat.

It was in stock and it was to ship priority but hasn’t yet.

I think they’re mining the ore to manufacture it. Lol!
