130 Gr. Sierra TGK's

Tried the TGK's out of my 6.5 X 47 Lapua and they shoot great. I was wondering if anyone could give me a real-life response on their performance on Whitetail deer. Any comments would be appreciated.

I've used 120 GKs in my 6.5/.284 XP-100 handgun on 50+ deer. I've always found Sierras to be softer than many other brands. They always caused a good bit of internal damage & have been very accurate. The tip will probably make them a little more destructive. You'll have no trouble with deer.
I even took one at 410 yds. with the GK. Still a good bit of damage & DRTT.

Haven't tried the 6.5s yet. The 100 gr 6mm and 140 gr 7mm sure shoot great. Blue Collar Reloading had the 7s on sale for $134-139 per 500 a bit ago and I bought a bunch.

I have a bunch 130 TGK's and they also shoot pretty well for me. I unfortunately haven't shot anything with them either.

I do think their jacket construction is sturdier than the traditional GK... The TGK and GK are not the same bullet. So I would use caution shooting them at longer ranges or lower velocities.

They are the bullet used in the Sig Elite Hunter 130 gr load, except they have a yellow tip, could check on reviews for that.

Was looking at used the TGT sine they came out on deer in Georgia. My rifle is chambered in 260 Ackley Improved.

Was looking for one picture but did not find. It was a doe at maybe 80 yards, probably the closest deer I ever killed with that bullet and cartridge. Huge exit hole like a baseball. Other deer just seem to drop but also remember one buck that went maybe 50 yards.
