Not always. Last spring, load development for a 6.5X47L. Knew it was a fluke the instant the hole didn't get any bigger. Three shot test at 500 yards. Should measure a little under .200" I would guess. The loads on either side of it in the test were around 1.25" to 1.5". Even though I felt it was a fluke, I just HAD to re-test the load not once, but several times! Unfortunately, as is usually the case in life, your first instinct is correct.
I guess sometimes bullets just have a certain destiny. If it won't repeat...

Falfan007, I hope yours will repeat.
Getting back to the original question, I have some Vapor Trails on the way for the two BRA's I'm having built right now. Anyone out there with seating depth experience with this bullet. I will give them a full test but it never hurts to ask those who have shot them.

Thats really a different subject than having a 243 bullet cut a smaller than 243 hole.
