I had the privilage to shooting beside my buddy, Chris Anderson of West Helen, today in Little Rock, Arkansas. We were shooting 1000 yard F-Class. Chris's first string of the day was pretty good, but on a clean barrel giving up a few points. On his second string, he posted a 200/13X, trying the current national record. Then on his very next string, Chris posted another perfect 200/10X. As far as I know, no one has every posted back to back 200's at 1000 yards on the new 1/2MOA targets...The weather was HOT, and the winds light and switchy.....Now for the kicker...Chris is not shooting a 300WSM, 284 Shehane, .284, nor a 6.5x284.....He is shooting a 6Dasher, Bat action, F-class stock, Nightforce scope, pushing Berger 105vld's with Varget powder.. Great shooting Chris!!!

Jim

His two target are below...His 200/13X was on a once fired target...

Thanks Jim. A blind squirrel can find a nut or two every now and then. Had a good time shooting with all that were there.

this is awesome! very good work! i would like to see some pictures and hear a little more info about the rifle also!

Congrats Chris - great shooting!!

Was this a registered match (not criticizing, just wondering if the 200-13 will be recorded by the NRA)?

Nobody at Bayou has shot back to back cleans. I have shot two and Walter Lange has shot one, and that is it in total.

It is really an amazing accomplishment, B2B in one match!! Wow!

Like your 200/15, it wasn't a registered match...sucks that yours and his are not offically recongized, but it doesn't take away a damn thing from the feats and the fact that they occurred!!

Thanks to everyone. I am still a little shell shocked. I am going to try to post a couple of pics of my rifle.
It is a BAT MB with a 30" 1-8 twist Krieger in a McMillan F Class stock. A nightforce 12-42 sits on top.

Nice looking rig, and again GREAT shooting Chris! I agree Jim, we both know what we shot, and have the targets to prove it. ;D

Chris, are you headed to SOA? Just need to know who to watch out for out there... ;)

Nice looking hardware you got there. And even though the match wasn't registered, you still tied the record and shot back to back perfect scores. You have still accomplished a great feat regardless. Nice shooting, I hope you get one on the books as well. You still deserve to feel as good as if it were registered anyway.

Congrats! Don't know of a more deserving guy after myself. :)
Seriously though, great shooting! I wish I had been there to see it. Maybe this will help attract more shooters to Little Rock.

Keep it up!
Matt

congratulations chris. after 20 years in competitive shooting of one discipline or another, I can count notable achievements I have seen such as this on one hand. really nice shooting. can you tell me where a guy might get a rifle like yours built?. ;D thanks.
