Ive tried two of them, one in 308 Win and one in 240 Wby. Neither one met my accurate requirements so they both went down the road. I really did want to like them.

Sauer 100 are good rifles. Built in same plant as Mauser. Sauer barrels are threaded to the receiver, Mausers are heat shrink to the receiver.

I’d say Tikka. I had a M695 in .280 that grouped small, like a thumbnail. I sold it to a friend of mine who had lost confidence in the rifle he had. He had started missing deer with no good reason. Welp, with that Tikka he got right back in the game. With factory ammo no less.
Decided to try a new one this time around. Got a T3x varmint in 6.5CM. The standard varmint doesn’t have a threaded barrel, which I didn’t want. Thought I’d put it in an M40 stock, rather than keep it in the factory stock. I might try it in the factory stock one day, but it seems to be doing well. The fact that I’ve shot it small with several charge weights tells me they are done right. That or I’m getting better at wiggling shots in rather than out.
