100/200 yd br 22 bullets

well i have a chamber that has a throat that is just a tad long.
a 50 gr zmax/vmax is 2.275 coal. at the lands
so i am looking for a br bullet in 50/52 that has some length...yes defying physics.
yes it is a 223 rem, the original reamer was ground wrong
so either i get the reamer fixed or find a bullet that may fit...1/14 twist
thanks

yes defying physics
Okay it's not the length that is defying physics it's your twist. A 50 grain Barnes Varmint Grenade is looong but you need a 1x10. So how about not OAL of bullet but base to ogive length to help you chase the lands. The 50 vmax and Nosler 50 BT are about the same. The base to ogive for the 50 gr Sierra Blitz King is longer and the 52 gr Sierra HP Match King is longer than the Blitz King.

Here's a link to OAL from our own forum boss (no base to ogive...)

The Berger 55 Grain Flat Based, Varmint's are, "BugHoling" out of my .22-250 Rem. with,.. H-380 and IMR 4895.
Sporter barrelled, Rem 700 ( 1981 Model, 1-14 twist ) shooting, in the 1's with IMR 4895 and 2's - 3's with H-380.
If wanting, a "Lighter" Bullet, try their 52 grainers. The 1-14 Twist Barrels NEED shorter Bullets, to function "Well"
( .750" long or,.. LESS ). Use the Bullet Database noted above, by lawman 29 to see, the Bullet Length's.
I've Bookmarked this Chart for my Files, many Years ago as, .. IT's,.. Money !!
The Sierra 52 and 53 grain, Matchkings, shoot very well for me, also.
Might look at Custom Made Bullets,. Bart's Bullets, may have a Target bullet that, works well, also !

so just to be clear this rifle is pre 2005...likely 1999 or so.
my first reamer specs which was simply a min spec 223 chamber with a short throat.
when used by a great ar smith, the the throat was long, not to spec. no production 50/52 gr bullets would allow a at the lands starting point. so i went looking for custom bullets. the ones i received were too short and i basically gave up. randy at BIB sent me some 52's in 2005 and i just set them aside.
the gun was used in club br matches and pd shooting.
today i tried randy's bullets and they give me 170 in the neck at the lands.
so i apologies to randy and will get some on order.
now the quest starts over.
powder...any suggestions on a modern choice for br accuracy ??
