10/22 Scope?

If you are willing to go used, you could get a weaver v16, v24, or t36 for 200ish. I have had mueller, they are ok for the price, but shooting an apv next to a v16 at dusk is like wearing sunglasses. I have an athlon neos 4-12x40 BDC 22 rimfire on a 10/22 right now...not bad for the price. Another good one is a burris 4-14x32... It is appropriately sized for a rimfire, and the price is in your budget.

I guess our perseptions may differ...you requested a good scope under $200 to punch paper with a 10/22. I can get 1/8 - 1/4 moa groups at 100 yards using my weaver classic 3-9×32.

I have a athlon argos btr 8-34×56 on my fopen rifle. I am getting ready to move it to my 22, it has been extremely repeatable on tracking. It does fall above your price tag at 369, however they have lower power versions you may be able to pick up in your range. If you plan to punch paper for accuracy i recommend getting as much magnification as you can afford.

Its not a argos so i have no idea how it will stack up but i have been happy with my athlon.

This is at optics planet for 189

Do you have pics of this rig ? What ammo are you getting these groups with,must be the magical combo ?

Rifle has long been sold but the build was a Valquartsen action and trigger package, Feddersen barrel and a custom bench stock. I think the combination of the Feddersen and Lapua X-ACT made the diiference. I stated the results of this rifle for the purposes of affirming that the Weaver classic 3-9 scope was capable of achieving the results @ 100yds. I just dont think you need a scope with so much power to spy on two ants screwing, to punch paper.

Had a Feddersen on a Cz build.They can be a good barrel.Just hate the finish.This is the best out of mine.

Another vote for Bushnell Rimfire 6-18x. Have one on a 10/22 Target and has surprisingly good glass for the price point. Haven't tested the tracking yet. I wish the reticle had some kind of set of subtensions but if it tracks ok then it won't be an issue.

Ive had muellers but eventually got tired of the bulk/weight and they seemed dark to my eyes, then I had a weaver fixed T24 that was simply awesome for paper punching, but it was a one trick pony so it eventually went down the road. Presently I have a Nikon rimfire EFR 3-9x40 AO with a crosshair/target dot reticle and really like it for all around use.

An idea. I put picatiny rails on all my guns, I swap a 10-50x sightron across a few of them. High quality magnification and focuses as close to around 10yds. I saw one for sale here yesterday for $700. I know it's not in your price range but you might consider consolidating a few scopes.

$ 700 ? C'mon man, 500 dollar difference...Quote: Looking for recommendations on a scope for a 10/22.This will mainly be a paper puncher.Trying to stay under 200.

He may already have another scope on another rifle he can swap over.
Just thinking of options not trying to upset anybody.

No harm,was my attempt at humor and a little sarcasm...nothing else intended. Ya never know about these scope searches,I usually end up with something way more money than I intended to spend in the beginning. My latest 10/22 scope purchase is a Weaver V24...a little over the OPs budget but it's not bad for entry level.

The nightforce BEAST is right up your ally. You’ll either have to sell your house or at least refinance it.
