1-9 twist / 77gr A-max question?

Just picked up a Rem 223 / 700 SPS tact/varm with a 1-9 twist. It shoots 1.0 at 100 w/69smk. Shot some factory 75 and 77gr. BTHP Black Hills Red at 100 and got 3/4. (see where this is going..)

I have a bunch of 75gr A-Max. Anyone know of a good work-up on this particular load.
Powders I have:

BL-C2
H380
IMR 4064
IMR 4895

I have the same rifle. I have never shot the 70's for fear it wouldn't shoot them. Glad to hear they will. I shoot 69's in mine over 24.1 Varget. I get sub .5 @ 100 if I do my part. I won't be afraid to use Varget when I get a box of the 70's.

I have a 223 that is quite similar except the barrel is a 1-9 McGowen. I shot the 75 Hornady BTHP through it and had some pretty small groups with a mv of 3030 using AR Comp. I found a good price on the 75 gr A-Max and bought a couple of boxes of them. To my surprise the A-Max shot patterns instead of groups at the same velocity.
Your barrel may stabilize them.

80 grain JLK VLDs definately do not stabilize in that barrel... You just gotta trust me on that one

24.50 of Varget got mine under .5 with Win. Match preped brass and CCI 450's

Of the powders you named my guess is that you will get youe best groups with the BLc2. If your looking for a heavy varmint bullet you might give the Hornady 75 gr. HPBT match bullets a try. I tried them in my 224 TTH and got the blue puff of smoke. At 223 velocities they should preform well.
