1/8" or 3/32" Crosshair Dot

getting a new scope and I would like to hear your opinion on which size dot is best. I will answer any questions, that will help with your opinions.
Mike

What are you using the scope for? Benchrest, plinking, hunting, combination of things. What distance(s)?

Some would indicate a smaller or no dot, others a larger, even larger than 3/23nds dot.

If it's a floating dot, I like the smallest I can get. A fine crosshair with dot in the center, I can tolerate a slightly larger dot. I shoot SR BR also...but it's going to boil down to personal preference. Next match after targets are hung, check out what's on the line and decide.

I shoot 100-200 UBR score and have 2 40X LCS Leupolds,,one has a raised FCH and the other is a 1/8th dot,,,days whe mirage isnt bad I like the FCH a lot better but on some days it is hard to see and like the 1/8th dot better,,I shot a friends 50x March with 1/16th dot one day and if I had the $$$ that is what I would have,,

This is a March High Master 40-60x zoom. There is a 1/16" dot available. I just thought that might be too small. I guess that's another possible thought, based on your personal experience.

I have both reticles in that same optic. I prefer the 3/32 dot but not a tremendous difference to me. I am 55yrs young and still have excellent far vision....near vision has taken the usual 40+ year old crapper however:rolleyes:.

Edit....I don't have the HM version but the 30mm tube 10-60x52

Well, I'm 67 years young. Maybe should have asked if they could make a 1/4" dot. ;-)
Keeping my fingers crossed. I can hardly wait!!
Been drooling over Marches for a while now!

I'm 74 and I would like a 1/4 min. dot also, but I have a 48 power HM. March and it is a very fine scope with a 1/8 min. dot...... jim
