1.25-1.00" Taper or Straight 1.25" for 284 Shehane?

Going to get another barrel and wanted to get input on whether or not the next barrel should just be a straight 1.25" barrel or go with the slightly lighter 1.25" to 1.00" taper. Both will be 30"

I might put a brake on the next barrel or thread it to accept a brake when I want to put one.

F-Class weight restrictions. I have a Lowboy stock, Bat M Action, NF Comp scope

Action is BAT Model M

At this point it's personal preference. The tapered barrel my give better balance.

If you do not have an adjustable butt plate, I recommend a 32" straight Ø1.25" barrel. Your LowBoy has a long enough fore end to track well with it and the added weight out front will make it more stable under recoil. Try to get up close to 22#, say ~4 oz. under. Every little bit helps.
