Need expertise on what would be the higest weight bullet I could use in a 1-12 twist? would 80 grain bullet weight stabilize? I have some loaded to try today they are berger 68 grain bullets, and the recomended powder. I can't think of what it is here at the computer. I am trying different bullets 65 V-Max, 75 V-max 70 grain Sierra hp. I am looking to achive a varmit target load with the best wind bucking w/o suffering accuracy. trying to get some expertise on the best bullet and powder w/o shooting everything to find an exceptional load. The rifle is a Savage 12 target varmit rifle black composite stock right bolt left port single shot. New to all this at 72 am trying new tricks. Never had a need for such till I bumped onto this sight. Thanks Lou

The 80 gr berger,s will shoot great in your 12 tw. In have 2 12tw 6BR both like 70gr Sierria Blitzking with VV N135, If VV powder are hard to get Hodgon Benchrest would be my next powder. Target loads will be the Benchrest bullets, Berger, Brats, etc. The Blitzkings, vmax BT, will work the best for varmints.
