Cleaning with Abrasives and using Fire Lapping kits and warranty

Frank, glad to hear that and thank you for replying. I do use only a patch with the JB, and after trying just about every cleaning product, I am down to using only stiff nylon brushes and Bore Tech products, mostly Eliminator. Thanks! Alex

Cleaning with Abrasives and using Fire Lapping kits and warranty

Frank, How about JB Bore Non-Embedding Cleaning Compound? I use it on brand new barrels before shooting them all to 'smooth' out any fresh machining marks and residue. I then use it every 200 rounds or so. Does not appear to harm the barrels. Thanks! Alex

What SAFE size to drill out lapua small primer brass

Most decapping pins are Ø1/16" (Ø0.625") and the Lapua 6mmBR flash hole is Ø0.059". This flash hole diameter is critical and must not be changed. If you cannot find a small diameter decapping pin (as was the case for me several years ago) take the standard decapping pin, chuck it in a lathe (or...

    cross bows

I have had a Barnett TS370 for a few years and I really like it. I bought the hand-crank separately, and it works, but I prefer to just pullup and skip the crank. I haven't shot in a while, though. Alex

    Shot marker stand

Hey, Brad! I built this one to fit in my Murano SUV several years ago, have used it a lot, and it still works fine: https://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/shot-marker-review.3956660/page-7#post-37510874 Good luck, my friend. Alex

    Light Hearted Humor

Things that roll under an inconvenient location - SOCKETS! Back in the 1960's, when I used to do a lot of car work, anytime I dropped a socket it would roll right smack under the middle of the car. In the 1970's, after they added all the antipollution gadgets and lots of other crap (just my...

Where to setup my ShotMarker Target?

As many of you know by now, we (Judy and I) will be moving to Georgetown, Texas in a few weeks. From where we have been living here in the greater St. Louis, MO area, I was able to shoot at 100 to 600 yards at the Bench Rest Rifle Club in Wright City, about 20 miles away, which I did for...

Big Piney March 8, 2025 600 yard F Class results

Yes, David – we will be moving to Georgetown, TX where we will be within a few miles of my son, my grandson, granddaughter, and three great-grandchildren. They felt that at our age we needed to be closer to family. We are looking forward to enjoying especially the little ones. But I will...

Big Piney March 8, 2025 600 yard F Class results

Yes John, the target looked like soup most of the time. A young shooter I would like to praise is seven-year old (almost eight;)) Harper Wheeler, who is wearing a pink jacket standing in front of me in the picture, above. Although she experienced difficulty operating the bolt on her Savage...

    Ruger RXM Glock Clone Pistol

Call me old-fashioned (79) but I just don't do not like any trigger with a blade, including Savage rifles. For pistols I prefer the 1911, and to that end my conceal carry is Sig P938. Alex
