Hello folks
I have a very early two digit serial number Cooper Varmint Extreme. Due to an unexpected health issue I need to part ways with not bye choice. I’m hopeful that I can get some input as to a fair price for my package. The rifle has less than 600 rounds fired I feel it’s in very good shape there are a couple small handling marks. I would like to sell everything I have for it as a package. Look for thoughts on what I should ask. Chambered in
17 MACH IV.
Includes:
Jewel trigger factory trigger in it now
Approximately 170 new Lapua 221 Fireball cases
Redding complete forming die settup
Redding die set
Wilson inline neck and seater dies
Wilson case holder
Wilson inside neck reamer
300 Remington cases formed and used in the gun.
Also a large assortment of bullets Berger, Hornady and others.

It’s a model 21 in Varmint Extreme according to Dan C. I could be convinced to include the scope. Leupold VX III long range 6-20 Leupold covers Varmint Hunter reticle 30 mm tube.

I would put a sharp pencil to all the things you have. There not making those Coopers now and it should be very collectible.

Sorry to hear about your health issue,hoping you get better asap. I had to sell a VE in 22-250 that had a Jewell when I was younger to pay bills. I still think about it to this day. Not trying to make you feel bad just advising you to find a way to try and keep it. That trigger easily adds $400+ back then. Today the way things are going I'd be hard pressed to put a value on it. Easily $2500+ with all the accouterments.

Yea, I’m thinking if a guy is interested in that cartridge and he’s looking for a Cooper, that it should fetch $2500 - $3000.
To the right bidders on GB, it could go for more…

This is not advice or even a suggestion, just something to think about. Last year I thought I was done varmint hunting due to a mis-diagnosed condition. I was ready to unload all my varmint hunting rifles and gear but decided to wait and see.

Upon a second opinion and resultant surgery in November, I was able to return to the field this spring, albeit in a limited capacity, but return, nevertheless. While I still have some significant medical issues, I was least able get back into the game.

I wish you well in dealing with your medical issue.

PS: Very nice rifle and scope. Those Leupold scopes are excellent.

First, I'm sorry to hear of your unexpected medical issues and best wishes for the future. We will all get to the point where we will be faced with similar choices, and I wish you the best.

As for the rifle, scope and all the accessories, you are in possession of a prized, sought-after and highly accurate setup and I would not at all expect you should settle for anything less than $3,000 when it is all said and done. To the right buyer this is the perfect varminter rig so don't be swindled, you are in possession of the holy grail.
