Glock 21 Gen 4My first question would be what are you shooting it out of?
Standard 1911 was never made, nor will it hold up to shooting +P loads.
Even my Walther PPQ is standard 45ACP pressures.
Thanks!Glock 21 Gen 4
5.2” KKM Barrel and 4.6” KKM
22 pound Recoil Spring
Wolff Extra Power Mag Springs
Really like the 5.2” KKM gives about a 50 FPS boost to velocity. Never considered a single stacked 1911 capacity to low for Bear Protection.
I normally carry 12+1 in both G20 and G21.
A good standard 1911 steel frame can withstand 45 super and 460 Rowland if certain modifications are done ! Would you like me to give the modifications required?

I shoot 45 super in my glock 21 also but i use a 24# spring and same barrel as yours. That frame can handle the full power 10mm, itll be fine with the 45 super. Have you unleashed it on a bear yet?Glock 21 Gen 4

I'd find a nice S&W Model 629. Early in Glock days there we several KA-BOOMS that were credited to the use of lead bullets in Glock barrels. Theory was that lead from the bullets was adhering to the bore and pressures climbed until the gun came apart. And, a good revolver NEVER jams.Duplicating Buffalo Bore 45 ACP + P

I used the tungsten guide rod but only went up to 19 pounds on the spring. using the longer SilencerCo barrel and a compensator. Works well from standard to Super, I have literally never had a jam with it. I use the large Lone Wolf frames as they fit more like a 1911 but 9 mm size while taking standard Glock mags.I shoot 45 super in my glock 21 also but i use a 24# spring and same barrel as yours. I should add, it still functions with standard acp loads. It doesnt kick the empties out but a few feet but never a malfunction.

I don’t use Glock barrels for trail !I'd find a nice S&W Model 629. Early in Glock days there we several KA-BOOMS that were credited to the use of lead bullets in Glock barrels.
