This little cartridge continues to impress. I just put together a new fun build for me and loving how its turned out. I have slowly been acquiring parts over the last year or so and finally got it all done and put together this weekend. I am intending this to be my new carry around general purpose hunting rifle, from Jack Rabbits to Mule Deer. It will probably see more Jack Rabbits and Coyotes than anything, since I can't seem to draw a deer tag.

1. PTG Weatherby 307 action with stiller bolt.
2. Proof 20" Carbon Sendero 7.5 twist barrel
3. Peak 44 Carbon Stock
4. Jard 1.5lb trigger
5. Leupold VX3 6.5-20X50

The rifle ended up just a hair over 7lbs with a full mag, and it carries and balances like a dream. I took it out to the range for some break-in and to get the scope zeroed up for some serious load development. The wind was gusty and nasty like it normally is in spring here, but the rifle still shot very well I thought. I loaded up some 108gr Berger Elite Hunters in Alpha brass and picked 37.5gr of H4350 since that load has done really well in rifles I have done in the past and it didn't disappoint. I was getting 2942fps and single digit SDs right from the get go. Attached are shots 6-10 & 11-15 after getting the scope dialed in pretty close. Should be a nice shooter once I finish dialing her in.

I share your thoughts about the 6GT. I too put together one some months ago. Defiant Deviant, Bartlein 26" 7.5" twist, Trigger tech Diamond, Foundation Centurion. I'm shooting Berger 108 BT Targets at 2935fps with single digit SD's with H4350 and Lapua Brass. I fortunately have 600- 1000 plus yard targets set up here in the desert and the GT continues to impress me. Enjoy

I love my GT

After seeing "draw a deer tag" I clicked on your Stomp442 and sure as shootin it's Arizona.

Seems like most other states don't have the draw.

To the 6GT I have an F-Class gun and an ftr type and both shoot really well with either Berger 105 or 109 hybrids. Love my homosexual feline.

A new fan of my New 6 GT .
I am running a Target Rifle 30” Barrel 1-7.5 109 HB
Find 2985 with Varget very good .

I read on this site Dashers hitting 2984 ????
I also have a Dasher with 30” Barrel 105 HB and can’t get close to 2984 ??

Going to try 4350
Good Post

My wife runs a dasher as her match rifle. 28" Krieger and 37.0gr of H4350 get her 2937fps with the Berger 108 Elites.

Varget has never proven to be the best powder for me in almost anything I have ever tried it in. I have always got better results with H4895, Benchmark or IMR4064 in any cartridge that likes that burn rate of powder, i.e. .223, 6BR, .243, 308. The one exception to that is my new barrel I put on my short range 6BR. It just loves the stuff.
