Major Grouping Issue

Whether it's IMR4350 or H4350, you're way too high on the powder charge....especially at your starting point. The velocities your getting bear that out. From my notes with multiple 30-06's with the 180 Accubond, I start around 53.0 and top out at 56.5-57.0...depending on the gun.

It could be that simple. Nosler sure thinks so. ;)
Same here!

Also, I would try the 180g Nosler Accubond. There are no flies on a 180g Nosler Ballistic Tip; it's a tougher bullet than you would think. I am running H4350 in Win cases with Win primers giving the best groups, above book max loads, but the primer pockets do not last...hunting rounds...who cares.

I have had quite a few bullets that won't shoot MOA in my rifles. Even ones that others have good luck with. I used to waste a lot of powder, primers and range time on bullets that 'should' shoot well. Not anymore.

If your rifle doesn't like them try something else. Plenty of choices out there.

PS sometimes a rifle just does not like a certain weight range of bullet. I had a factory .223 that loved many bullets in the 70gn range, but really didn't like 55gn at all. Lots of factors there. Barrel length, profile and twist rate.
I certainly agree with this, it may be the bullet. However the weight is not the issue for this rifle. When I first got this rifle, I shot 180 grain sako game heads out of it and this thing shot some crazy tight groups for factory ammo. If I recall I had a few under half inch (3 shot groups). It just may not like this nosler bullet.

Such an interesting hobby we all have chosen

The next thing I try will be the 180 accubounds.

If you have any RL-22 sitting around, 59 to 60 grains behind the 180 grain Partition has worked very well in several 30-06's I've loaded for.

I don't have any RL. Where I live it's 30 degrees celcius in the summer and -5 to -30 during the winter and hunting season and I am concerned about temperature stability.

Pretty much I use H4350, H1000 and VARGET.

Well, I tried 3 different charges with VARGET and got great SD and ES numbers but didn't get any better groups. I'm going to close this chapter for 180gr partions through this rifle. I will move on to accubounds.

Thanks for everyone who chimed in to share thoughts and wisdom. Greatly appreciate it. Hopefully one day I can pass on what I learn to others in need.
