Remington Extractor

Due to the Remington BankRuptcy in 2020 some spare parts for factory Remington rifles became quickly unavailable and RemArms does not support legacy rifles. As of now RA provides no spare parts to the normal channels (Numrich, Brownells, etc) for even their new rifles. I know there are cloned actions that are based on the 700 and many have modified the design for the M16 or Sako extractors. But are there any out there that use the factory equivalent. In particular the SA standard (308) rivitless?

Nobody (custom action) I know is using them to where you can source from.

PTG like it or not seems to be the only source for new replacements. I purchased some last year when they were all in stock. I called and verified before I ordered that they were in stock. Took about 3 weeks or so to receive them but I did get them. Right now they show magnum riveted in stock and the other two rivetless are out of stock but back orderable.

Have not seen any manufacturer make the same style of extractor as the Remington.

You might give Long Rifles Inc a call. When he trues up a Rem 700 he removes the extractor to square up the bolt face and then replaces the extractor.

They do sell the used ones they remove. There's another person out there that sells used ones as well. Can't remember if it was on ebay or another website. A search should turn it up.

Remington M700 OEM type riveted and non riveted extractors

These are USED removals saved from conversions to our M16 type extractors. Note: Riveted type does NOT include a new rivet. Magnum size (.545BF) are often slightly deformed as a consequence of removal. They can be reconditioned to work with the careful use of some needle-nose pliers.
