Have a 6.5 Saum that after resizing with, Whidden FL sizer, RCBS FL sizer, Redding body die. When I strip bolt and try and size case till bolt handle falls freely the case still rubs in a few spots.(even we I bumb shoulder 6thou) This is the second bbl from this smith. 1st one had same issue and some pitting in chamber so replaced bbl. I’m guessing his reamer is shit? He had rifle for almost a year to replace bbl so using him to fix is outta the question. My question is; is this really an issue? Will I get pressure signs sooner? Or will I just not be able to get precise measurements using free bolt fall, when checking shoulder bump and bullet seat? Gun shoots good, just not sure if I should have someone else clean up chamber?
I’ll attach some pics where it’s rubbing. I’ve tried running 320 grit paper on wood dowel to see if that may help, which it did a little.. I have 2 different lots of ADG brass, some unfired. Some Norma 300 brass, and Hornady and they all rub in a couple different spots.
Thanks for any advice.
