Recommended Multi-cal Suppressor?

I am looking for a good multi-cal suppressor that I can swap from my AR 15 all the way up to my 308, any recommendations?

I use my old Ops Inc 12TH.

Now Allen Engineering. And maybe renamed again since.

But yeah... its doable and is ALMOST hearing safe on my 224 Valk.

I run an OSS HXQD .338 Mag Ti on everything from 22 rf up to .308. I do have a separate old can I run on the ARs most of the time, but the OSS works fine with the proper adapter from the 1/2x28 to the OSS adapter. Whatta Hobby!

Gunwerks offers suppressors with inserts from 22-30 cal. I have one and like it for multiple calibers.

I use the Banish 30 on multiple calibers. I'm more than satisfied with it.

I run a Dead Air Nomad on everything from 30 cal down to 223. Works well for all including magnums in the middle of the range like a 6.5 PRC.

If you are going to run one on a direct impingement AR though you'll need to consider a variable gas block unless you like getting a face full of gas. The back pressure caused by a suppressor pushes a lot more gas down the tube and into action. The alternative is one of the new low back pressure suppressors but then you are into dedicated suppressors. The cost of a new gas block is much cheaper than the cost of another suppressor.

Hybrid 46 if you truly want one for EVERYTHING. I have one because I needed a 46 cal can, and it’s perfect but I’m here to tell you if you shoot a lot, get one for each gun because I get dang tired of switching it from gun to gun on a daily basis!! I’m actively needing a 30 cal and 9mm specific can after initially thinking that one multi would suffice ;)

There are a few people who have the will-power to buy a one-and-done suppressor. My hat is off to you animals! I have no such will-power so.... there!

I started with the exact same philosophy and then fell off the tracks because at the time I was going through an accuracy AR phase. The Nomad 30 (Enticer is it's uglier twin) was my first, but then a Polonium 223 suppressor (6mm also BTW) showed up somehow. As both of these were regular baffled H900 suppressors, they are gassy on an AR (the Nomad 30 less so because big hole up front). Then a "few" other titanium printed "flow through" types showed up. Not done yet it seems....

If you can do it, a good 30 caliber suppressor can be a good one-and-done. To put another stick in the spokes, if you plan to use it on multiple guns (and that is what you are planning it seems) now you need to consider a qd system as many/most 223's will be 1/2×28 and almost all larger bores will be 5/8×24. I use Xeno on everything and I don't really want to know how much I have invested in Xeno mounts. IMO, the Xeno style is a very good qd system.

There are a ton of great 30 caliber suppressors. Analysis Paralysis is real and terminal and one-and-done is a myth.

I put an adapter on my ar that went from 1/2×28 up to 5/8×24. I'm able use any of my cans on any of my rifles. Have 2 Mack Bros 762L and Aero Lahar, love them all. But, I'm really stoked to get my SilencerCo Scythe and put the Recoil X brake on it, heard lots of great things about that combo.

I am a THUNDERBEAST fan boy. The only thing I would do differently is not go for the worlds quietest can and go for portability. I have several 9 " TBAC'S that would trade in a second for 5" cans. I have NEVER seen a competition for the quietest can. LOL I don't really hear any difference between a 9 and 5 inch can. Maybe with test equipment. But not in real life.

Just get a 30 cal can and use it for EVERYTHING up to a 30 cal. I run 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30 cal through the same cans.

Just my .02,
Tod

This is absolutely spot on.
