20SCC interest

Rick im only using 1.3 more grains of AA2200 vrs my 20VT load so its only about 20 rounds per pound.
That 21.8 is only when its as cold as it was when I shot that target above normally I'm down atleast a .10 when its alot warmer.
Couple days ago I got this crazy idea wonder what a heavier bullet would run in the 20SCC I have some Badger Bob 48 gr bullet so I put on in there with 20.5 of AA2200 ran it over my chrono and it was 3411Fps I think next time I take one of my SCC to the range ill up it .2 and see what I get for FPS, im almost wishing now I had a 9tw one one of mine

I would be curious too. My 20VT with a 9-twist 26” barrel can push the Berger 55gn to 3150fps and will stretch to 3300 if you don’t mind trashing the brass after 2 or 3 reloads. I wonder how much the SCC can gain on that.

I wouldnt doudt Evan that 3300fps is easily doable without trashing the brass.
I may get a wild hair and shoot one to find out. I have 24" barrels.
A 48-50 grain bullet would be awful sweet in the SCC

LOL, we should maybe seek out professional help/advice.
I ended up building big and small 17’s,20’s and 22’s.
I start in close and work my way out. Start holding over more than I like, I switch to next in line.
I know some dislike the 17’s but mine weighs around 25 lbs, and you get to see ALL the show. Don’t need a spotter either.
