It's inherent in the technology - all strain gage scales do it. It's less of a problem with run-of-the-mill scales that weigh to 0.1 gr, but it will drive you crazy when attempting to be more precise.Seeing how others have my annoying creedmoor drift problem I googled and found it is common. I emailed creedmoor sports. We'll see what they say. Maybe its a bad batch or maybe they have since corrected it.
The smart folks here have explained on a few occasions the difference between strain gage scales and Magnetic Force Restoration scales. It's inherent in the technology - all strain gage scales do it. Good luck. I did the same thing. I emailed them a long inquiry about the scale, and the drifting tare weight, and all my concerns about it not being accurate because the thing seems to drift. How I can see the weight of the pan fluctuate, yet it wants to hold zero too.Seeing how others have my annoying creedmoor drift problem I googled and found it is common. I emailed creedmoor sports. They already responded and are sending a new scale with a return label. Maybe they had enough complaints that they are replacing them now? Curious to see if it still does it due to the type of scale. If so, I might have to ebay the thing and get the fx120i eventually. Not sure I care since I don't shoot the hornet anymore. It simply doesn't matter in a creedmoor or SAUM size case unless you compete.Good luck. I did the same thing. After a couple days I got a response and I’ll quote it right here. I still have the email:
“Please give us a call at your convenience and ask to speak with Technical Support. We’re here this week Monday through Wednesday from 9:00am to 5:00pm CST and will be here next week Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm CST at 800-273-3366.

So of course I called them and asked for technical support. I can’t recall exactly how the conversation went but I remember it lasting about 45 seconds and I’m fairly sure the guy I spoke with was no more than 22yrs old. It was basically something to the affect of, “Does it power up? Will it calibrate? Does it weigh stuff? It’s fine. Bye”.
Well that’s really nice that they’re doing that. Be sure to report back. My suspicion is that it will do exactly the same thing, as those issues are typically inherent in strain gauge type scales. Hopefully the new one will work for you. They already responded and are sending a new scale with a return label. Maybe they had enough complaints that they are replacing them now? The FX-123 is 0.001 gram resolution (0.015 gn), the same as the FX-120i.The performance “advantages” over the FX-120i, with the EJ-54D2 for example, would be that it’s readable down to .001gn compared to .02gn (FX)

I have an FX-300iN which is the same scale you’re talking about expect “NTEP” version. That just means a it’s a “legal for trade” designation, and these scales are typically what you find in cannabis shops lol. I got a steal of a deal on it on ebay about a month ago. $250 shipped and it’s like brand new! Yes the FX-300i is exactly like the FX-120i. The only difference is the MAX weight is higher on the 300i. Which technically makes it a better unit in my opinion. If you ever wind up with an N (NTEP) version, or you find a deal you can’t pass up. Don’t be discouraged, even though they’re typically “locked” in NTEP mode so you can’t calibrate, switch units to grains, or use practically any of the menu functions at all. There’s a simple procedure (series of weird button presses etc) to get the scale into “standard A&D mode” and after that it behaves exactly like every other FXi scale!I'm expecting to receive an FX300i as soon as UPS can recover from the winter storm. It's supposed to be the same as the FX120i with more weight capacity. Does anyone have experience with this scale?
How long ago was that? I ask because I bought an FX-120i from them a month ago and I paid ZERO tariff. I believe it’s even explained on the website. They only “export” the shipments to the US on certain days. So essentially they’re lumping multiple orders all together under one single export at a time saving their customers potential huge tariff costs.Be damned careful buying a scale from CE products. The sale price is only to cover some of the tarrif you will end up paying. Also, they screwed up some paper work for something never shipped which had my name and address on it. Got a tarrif bill for it. They told me to not worry about it, it was a mistaken shipping bill. SO, now I have a bill collector expecting me to pay for the tarrif bill. Is it going to be worth the hassle for $150 to try to get it straightened out??? Probably not and just pay the damn bill. Really pisses me of...
