Noticed yesterday the garmin website lists it for 499 now. Think they had to lower it since the Athlon came out.

Yes ! From my boating days most electronic companies come out with their new models and the old models are sold off cheaper. I used to buy a lot of GPSs and Depth Finders made by Garmin at Boat Shows in Jan. and Feb.

I just read about the C2. Definitely has some upgrades for folks that do rapid fire. The mounting system is kinda cool.
