Great SC deer!

Got my first SC mountain buck this past Saturday. Then, Monday morning i used my last tag on a really BIG buck. Unofficial scoring is 147 5/8 - 144 4/8. I am told it will probably lose a little size before official measurement cab be taken... but this is still a really nice buck! Age estimated 6+ years.

140 class is pretty solid. That’s about the size to think about shooting one. Mature enough to have several breeding seasons behind him to pass on those genes. Chances are, there are some offspring around with the same potential.
