Lapua Midas

Okay, while searching thru old and forgotten 22LR ammo I know the other day I ran into a small amount of older Midas L & M.
It appeared to have the same type lube as Eley because it looks exactly like the Eley Tenex (2012) that I got at a good deal from CMP. I know L had a slightly larger bullet diameter than M but that got me wondering about what the differences are between the L & M and the latest version Midas+. Is + loaded with the M or the L bullet?
According to AI (for what the is worth) Lapua never discontinued L & M but stopped making it during one to the many previous ammo demand periods.

Eley and Lapua have different tubes of lube.

The -L and -M is discontinued and has not been made for quite some time.

As for the bullet “type” used in Midas+, that would have to be verified via other sources, but I doubt it would be non-standard.

I figured, in spite of what Google AI said, the L & M versions would not return.
I do remember I bought this ammo to test in one of the 541T rifles I owned then but don't remember the year. It was long ago though. I remember keeping a test target shot with it (can't remember L or M) that was very small, in the .1's for five at 50 yards, that repeated that same morning. I'm going to guess that was late 90's. The ammo came packaged as two 50 count boxes wrapped together in clear plastic.
Anyhow, I'll shoot it for fun and likely it will shoot better than anything I can buy today (my luck).

L was, as you say, bigger than M. We used to call it Large and Medium. I guess there was no small. The idea was you could find a better fit for you chamber. Like all ammo, some was great, some mediocre and some just bad.

That being said, do you want to sell it?

Back in the day we shot indoor 22 match at shooting match cards I shot a Remington 514 and Midas L was hard to beat my 514 Midas M didn’t shoot so well I sure would like try it today in so of my rifles
