Yeah, I happened to catch part of that. Felt bad for the fox kits that got eaten, but that’s no different than us chomping down on breaded veal sandwiches or leg of lamb, I guess. Amazing that the mother cougar fed and raised all six of those young ones by herself; my mom raised six of us brats but had Dad to keep us in line, lol.https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...http_ref=eyJ0cyI6MTc2MTkzODYzMzAwMCwiciI6IiJ9

Yes that link shows PBS as a source too.Think I saw the same thing on PBS. VERY interesting and well done. Think it covered something like 12 years.
We were on a lion kill in Colorado and I asked the DFG biologist how often lions kill. He said every 3 to 4 days unless a bear or coyotes find it, then sooner. I was thinking one a week but it more like 100 deer a year. We can't hunt lions or bobcats in CA and no dogs for bear hunting so it's no wonder our deer are disappearing. And now we have wolves.. Mountain lions kill a deer once a week if alone, more if a female with young kittens.
