I have been using the 87 gr v-max at a little over 3400 fps, with good results. There are some that do not exit on body shots around 100yds, may I ask your opinion of this bullet? My season is off to a good start. Top two were shot with my 22br using 62g ELD VT's. Bottom one with my 243 and 87g vmax called with my foxpro CS24C. View attachment 1701980View attachment 1701981View attachment 1701982

One morning in pretty thick fog, we had five on them (as near as we could count) appear from the fog, and do about a half circle and depart. We never got one of them.Good shooting! Makes me want to get out again soon. Some of my fondest recollections of hunting them are when a number of them are all coming in at the same time - the adrenaline gets going!
I live on the edge of the city and I have a pack of five or six around my house at night regularly. I've been very tempted to buy a .25 or .30 cal. PCP air rifle to work them over - but the "wildlife lovers" would end up with my hide in the end.One morning in pretty thick fog, we had five on them (as near as we could count) appear from the fog, and do about a half circle and depart. I will shoot the skunk if you will skin him !!!I'm thinking that we all oughta be calling skunks. Skunk pelts are selling for what coyotes used to. I'm thinking the "squeaking mouse" call, or maybe baby bird.jd
