Bartlein Barrel — Short Wait

I just had a similar outcome with a Brux. Called direct to see about a 30 in straight contour for my Swede.

Maybe they're All caught up.

I just went back and looked at the date I called Ken at Brux for my 30 inch straight Swede prospect. It was 9/23/25. I woke up this morning to an email from Brux with shipping info.

I have two Brux barrels ordered and was told they were going to be six months, no problem.
Barrel makers should have listed on their website in big bold red letters “poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part!”
No doubt they are doing the best they can and keeping integrity in the products they supply.
We just all have to think ahead of the curve.

I'm pretty sure (as someone posted earlier) that they did 6.5's last week.

I'd have expected the usual wait for a 6mm or 7mm.

Likely depends more on what they're tooled up for and running at the moment
They are sort of a high volume outfit

I know it was this way with one barrel maker I used to use, wait was dependent upon what caliber he was going to make a run of that period of time.

This is pretty much what Bartlein told me when I spoke with them. My recent 22cal that came in took 9 months. But I’m patient and order way before I need one.

Years ago when rock creek had very long wait times. I called them to order a 25cal barrel and they told me they had just finished a large batch that day. My barrel arrived 4 days later. I just had lucky timing.

I called them two months ago wanting a 31" HV contour 1:9" twist for my 300NMI. George told me 8-9 months. But he suggested a gunsmith that had one each HV and Palma contour shipped that week. I got ahold of them faster'n a Duck on a Junebug. I had it ten days later to my front door.
