What are you doing to get ready for TackDriver 6?

Fast is not a bad idea, however, fast wont help if you are hitting the 7 ring on each shot.
And in those thick red rings, a seven hit you cant see....Who on this green
Earth designed those hunter targets with those over sized outer rings ??

As for the use of a polarizing filter. You can forget that. Yes it will clean up
some glaze but at the same time, darkens things up which you do not want.
A modifier disk will be a bit more friendly. Your stopping down the lens and
still maintaining some usable power.

Those Hunter target outside rings are all you have to use to center up using a 6 power scope. Try shooting score competition at 300 yards with only a 6x scope and you will see why they are there. BTW the object is to keep them in the middle so you can see them!

Object truly is to keep them in the middle. Actual practice may vary. To be fair, this was a tuner change. Had no idea it would be that drastic.112's.jpg

Rebated the rims on a bunch of 308 brass last night (the shellholder bolt in the Mini is a PPC size). New pad on the rifle (308's kick).
I forgot to mention my rear bag. I picked it up off the bargain table in a little shop. Cordura and suede. Cost me 15 bucks. I glued a rubber base on it with... you guessed it, Shoe Goo.
The important thing is it says "Champion" right on it! More positive reinforcement. WH.

I can bring your rail gun up there for you, I am driving up. If you fly, you might be able to make that work?

I am in the middle of building a substantial addition to my business ( 40,000 sq ft), and really should not be going, but I am going anyway.
Mike, I appreciate the offer. But the logistics of getting the Rail Gun and all of my loading equipment there would be a little overwhelming. Heck, I have never even had a case for the Rail Gun.
Plus, just getting to the airport, getting a rental car, getting a room, then flying back would just be one big hassle.
But I do appreciate the offer.

I can't help but take in all the attention this match draws throughout the year. Constant conversation of what gun , what caliber, what scope, what flags, what flag poles, how tall of flag poles, what color tales, 6mm, 30 cal., maybe even a 6.5 or 7mm, can I come up with a good excuse why I threw one out into the 5 ring and the list goes on and on.:D:D:D.
I can hear all the knees knocking from here.
I'm attending to see new friends and old and do what I love, my expectations are to not finish last and to have just maybe one relay that stands out.
In the last year there has been much division in the shooting community but without question this match sets the tone for what unity looks like bringing every shooting discipline together and I'm proud to be part of it.
Tack Driver 6 can't get here soon enough !

Dave, those who want to cause dissention are going to do so. And some of them work to cause as much damage as they can on the way out. Not much you can do about them.
On the other hand, we had several notable IBS shooters attend the NBRSA Score Nationals last month and I believe they all had a very good time. So, we all can get along and have a great time. Along with the Tackdriver, I am planning on shooting a couple of IBS score matches. Just may have to renew a grudge match with one of those IBS shooters.

Whenever I see “IBS”, the first thing that pops into my mind is Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I wonder if there is a connection?

Is this another call out to Todd?
