What are you doing to get ready for TackDriver 6?

Somebody is putting a cookie list together.
She said she was going to bring Luna down on Thurs to visit you Wes.
I'm getting ready to make some new brass for our guns, no changing calibers or looking for that new magic bullet.

Just a few things of the many I have going on at the present along with preparing for the last 5 IBS score matches with 2 of them being Nationals.
Numbering targets
Finalizing shirt design and order
assigning camping spots
Assigning benches and bench sharers
PREPARING FOR THE MATCH OF THE YEAR!
OFTEN IMITATED BUT NEVER DUPLICATED!
See you all in just a couple of months. Still full at 140 with about 20 still on the waiting list.

New scope on the 6 Dasher.... busy getting ready for group nationals, plus work..... I think this is going to be a good combo. Still working through bullet selection.
Mike, I wanted to go shoot the NBRSA Unlimited 100, then come home, but at this time, I simply cannot be away from the business.
We have three big outside jobs that all have to be done in September. Sometimes things just fall that way.

I would have made room on my trophy shelf, LOL but this year's match was filled up before I could enter. Already have my finger on the button for 2026.

Question for you folks that have already been there...assuming no mirage what is lowest scope magnification you can see 6 mm holes with at 300m?

I can bring your rail gun up there for you, I am driving up. If you fly, you might be able to make that work?

I am in the middle of building a substantial addition to my business ( 40,000 sq ft), and really should not be going, but I am going anyway.

Well, having told Mr. Cline that I intended to shoot the match with a 308, I've been messing with some 308's. Now, I have a heavy 308, built many years ago (it would have been a state-of-the-art heavy bench rifle in 1972), specifically for 300 meter shooting, which may shoot well enough, but I didn't really want to use a rifle that heavy (it's about 18 pounds). So, I re-barreled my old Wichita Mini to 308, using a fairly new Hart barrel (about 15 years old. The Hart on the heavy gun is 49yo) At 11.5 pounds, it was a little difficult to handle. So I added a weight to get it up to 12 pounds-13oz. and will test it again in a couple of days. I'll build a tuner next. The rifles are both equipped with the finest triggers I could buy (in 1978), the Canjar LP. The scopes are Weaver 36's mounted in the coveted Bushnell aluminum rings (circa mid-seventies as well).
I've not neglected the rest either. I have an old Hart cast iron base topped off with a Wichita saddle. The front bag is of unknown make and is attached to the saddle with Shoe Goo (a popular adhesive in precision circles). It's tendency to leak sand was fixed with some leather affixed with the same adhesive. Improved as it is, this rest literally reeks of positivity.
Because it has been so long since I've shot BR I'm trying to get to some matches.
In my spare time, I visualize shooting tiny groups and high scores. This might sound like fantasizing, or even daydreaming, but that's not the case. I am unleashing the power of positive thinking. Positive (distinct from wishful) thinking, should produce a positive outcome!
When it comes to the non-shooting aspect, I'm busy there too. I bought new tires for the old Ram 3500 and may be getting a slide in camper for the trip. Otherwise, I'll be towing my somewhat heavy Arctic Fox trailer across the continent again. The cost in fuel creates a level of depression which may counteract my positive thinking. Something to think about. WH
