MY ROAD TRIP TO MAIDENS, VA - ODCR

The 17 twist is to shoot light bullets 108 to 118 range
Absolutely. Some 30BR shooters like 1 -18 Tw. as well but it seems most these days like the 1 -17 Tw. better for target shooting but for those like me with a Hunter rifle in 30BR as well that want to shoot heavier bullets like 125 gr. for hunting then the 1 - 15 Tw. seems to be more favorable.

I am getting ready to go up and pick up a couple of parts and drop off some barrels and actions for hunting rifles. Hope Zach has a 7mm-08 AI reamer.

Congrats Bill and a great travel Buddy makes the trip better.
Oh yea, Bro, it was a great trip with my shooting buddy SVT_Tactical and the visit was nothing short of exciting and rewarding to finally get to shake Zack's hand and spend some quality time in the shop with him. He and his family treated us like we were part of their family. And to find this very special "Uncle Bill" build on the bench definitely shut me down for a few mins. and brought tears to my eyes. Could not utter a word for a bit there. Not that I like to travel much at all but I'm certain I will be visiting again sometime in the future as Zack is second to none not only with rifle builds but with personality and attitude.

I know I’m late to the party here but Zack shared this project with me several months ago and I knew that crew would make it special somehow for a guy that has given so much to our sport unselfishly for so long. I was and still am jealous that I wasn’t in on the fun! Congratulations Bill to such a special gift from special people and from all of us that didn’t help out but do love your spirit, kindness and advice!

For those of you that don’t know and can’t pickup on the sarcasm of the choice color…. Bill loves Blue rifles…. Hahahaa…This is soooo funny that they got you a red one! The story of this rifle is a fun one to tell everytime it hits the bench in front of someone new!

Great job guys, she’s a Beaut Clark!

Nope, you are right on time Bro. You always say nice things and know how to make a person feel your heart. I know you would have done whatever you could to help make the "Uncle Bill" build happen if needed. Appreciate your appreciation of the limited help I have to offer here on the site and anytime I can share something helpful with anyone. I try to share my knowledge simply because someone shared with me and always try to do that in a non-boastful manner.

Oh yea, "Uncle Bill" is RED and I know Zack and Brett are very happy about that. To be honest I would not want it any other way. It makes it even more special to know they got it done with their ideas and thoughts valid in the project. Cannot wait to get it tuned up and on a bench somewhere to help make everybody proud of their contributions and work. Thanks again for everything this team did to make "Red Uncle Bill" a reality.

Hey brother unless I'm a color blind painter, that is a RED guitar your holding in your avatar. Lol

Weather co-operating today. Finished getting the scope dialed in @ 100 yds. on "Uncle Bill" and since I verified the chamber of this rifle is the same as my Rem 700 ( identical as far as I can tell ) I tried a 5-shot group with the exact load in this rifle as it shoots. 5-shots into .093 group with no changes to the load period.

Well Bill, looking at that early target shot with "Wild Bill", I'll opine you've reached nervana. Well done indeed!

I'll add that your project shows what a great cadre we have in the rifle/gun world with good friends that go the extra mile for one of us when the time comes. We're all blessed to have such friends in our lives.
