Polishing the inside of FL sizing die

Came across a box full of various sizing dies at an estate sale.
Pretty nasty from years of storage in a garage in an open box.
Will run them thru my ultra sonic cleaner, but the insides of the dies need some love.
Flitz on a soft clean shotgun barrel mop on the end of my drill?

thats what i did on some of mine (flitz/shotgun mop/drill).

Never had any ill effects from polishing it with that and those dies have been very smooth for me resizing brass.

I had a Die that was not the smoothest from the maker , and started getting a buildup of Brass inside . Wanted to "polish" it , and maybe smooth out some of the scratches in the Bore . My guy at the local ACE Hardware suggested some Never Dull , so I gave it a try . It didn't take out all the scratches , but it did clean up the bore to shiny , so I give it a clean-up every once in a while . About five bucks for a can of this wadding , and it's available at most ACE Hardware stores .

About the same thing as all except i give it a little Nu-finish car "wax" to protect it when i'm done polishing with a bore mop. I think a .416 is the one i use.

I’ve put 1000 grit wet-dry on a 1/4” wooden dowel rod , fitted into the die oiled with gun oil and spun it with a drill motor on the two setting. Max rpm for 5-10 seconds.

I’ve split the dowel and or taped the wet-dry to the dowel. I prefer the split dowel best.
