Bullet lot and tuning question

I have experienced these same inconsistances in some makers bullets that were "supposedly" custom bullets. I have since been shooting Berger bullets for years. I have bought 8 or 9 different lots(1000ct) over the years and ALL have been so consistant in ALL measurements.....weight,diameter,base-to-ogive,length. All lots have performed equally without any adjustment to neck tension,seating depth,or powder charge. I can't say anything negative about Berger bullets. I have shot a lot of different maker's bullets, and have settled on Bergers.

I know a very successful shooter that opens all his same lot powder into a big tub, lets it off gas ( and equalize ) for a couple days stirring occasionally then refills the jugs.

I suppose it makes sense to equalize the powder but the ol’ lady isn’t going for the bathtub thing.

She’s a good sport but there is a limit.

I used to put powder out on trays in the sun to cook off the chemical smell. Why? No idea. Now knowing a little more about it I dont worry about it. The powder will take on local humidity even in the jugs. Some store powder at specific humidity like you would cigars. Yes it does change the burn rate.
