State 9f Victoria banning machetes

The British owned countries are working to completely outlaw personal freedoms. I know several Canadians who keep their firearms here in Northern Idaho for that reason.
If you mean British Commonwealth countries, any legal policy connection has been gone a good 50 years. These countries are exercising independent policy however good or bad it may be. It's nothing to do with the "UK".

As for the item in this thread, it's nothing to do with "Australia" per se. Victoria is acting solely in its State capacity.

For those in Oz that might frequent this site, it appears that it’s becoming more and more difficult to do most ANYTHING that pertains to any and all shooting sports. Is that a misconception on my part ( sincerely hope so! ) ? I’ve always thought of Australia as having a strong hunting/ shooting tradition.

It is in response to a brawl at a shopping center where some yoots whipped out machetes and starting having a go at one another.

Of course rather than fix the issues with their young people and the underlying reasons why they feel it is acceptable to brawl in public spaces with weapons, they are going to go after the weapons.
