Way out of bounds question

I am only just guessing here I have never seen or heard of something like this before. Guessing that it is a turd cutter of value at least $1500 that can only be worked on by a certified turd cutter technician at $125 an hour, and also requiring periodic replacement models to meet city, state and federal government guidelines every two years or so. Only to order the new updated model and hear “We are sorry we are out of stock” and after a while I’m guessing that you’ll probably say I just don’t give an S@?T anymore!

Agree with 1k
Have a sewage grinder pump at home in the mountains and IF you can find one refurbished it will cost $1500+
New is twice that
Yes they do stop working
Yes you need a qualified repairman
Will NEVER buy another house that uses a sewage pump- gravity never fails but power does fail and so do pumps
Keep looking unless the deal is so good that you can’t

On the other hand I installed one in my parents house over 20 years ago. It used everyday and we've never had any issues with it whatsoever. It is however a different style than this one shown in the picture. I agree not a very clean installation.

Ok having this is I’m not buying the house deal but…
Yup the sink is off center
Never saw a line just cut thru the baseboard
Addition line just punched thru the sheetrock
That switch have a receptacle also? If so is it GFI
What are we doing with what looks like Furnco fitting clamped on? Furncos are great but it’s a way around a problem not used on an initial installation
What is that huge turn off valve? What’s it for? I hope it is not to stop gasses flowing back meaning you turn it open or closed each time of use. Confuses me. Far more concerning is all I can’t see.
The rest of the house could be perfect but in my experience a picture like you posted is the shape of more surprises to come. I’m also assuming that most with this installation your outlet pipe to your sewer, cesspool, or septic is 4 feet up the concrete basement wall.
Sorry but when I see a supply line installed that well… anyone should be able to make a straight beat run… I guess not
