222 REM brass choice

I got a batch of 222 Starline last fall. It was all that was available at the time. Very uniform neck thickness, case weights very close and the primer pockets and flash holes are fine. I am impressed. Only three firings on it so time will tell.
DITTO this ^^^^. I recently purchased some Starline .222 Rem. brass and am very pleased. The neck-wall thickness, on the WORST cases, as measured across the heel of of a seated bullet, using [both of] my Starrett 0.0001" micrometers, is <0.0003" variation, with most right @ 0.0002". RG

I purchased a couple hundred of the Starline also. Have not loaded any yet.

RG, What was the neck od with a seated bullet? I have a .250 neck chamber and interested if neck turning will be required. Thank you.

My 2c
Norma brass is soft, makes it perfect for .222 with its looong neck. If you reload, you get fewer splits.
Starline is highly underrated as well, but I have not used it in a trebly.
Their. 308 match is absolutely on a par with Lapua.

I have quite a few 222s. The starline brass I tried was reasonably priced and has been very consistent. I still prefer Lapua but Starline is a solid option.

I also use the Starline a lot in my 20-222.

Across bullet (consistent 0.2241" heel diameter) they run .2500" to .2503", with most being .2501/.2502". 'Web" Dia. .3745" to .3750". Well within my ability to use & "read" a [manual] micrometer. Again, worst case when measuring, turning, and measuring again, displays max variation of 0.0003". :)RG

I am no benchrest shooter, but have had very good accuracy with Lake City. Lots of guys dont like it but has worked well for me. I usually find it on sale at my local range for free.
LC is making 222 Rem brass now??

Starline, Norma and Nosler all make excellent brass.
Competing with Norma brass this year and no complaints.
