6BR 14 twist barrel length

Curious to what barrel length others are running on a 1:14 twist.
Thinking of a new barrel for my Savage 6br which currently has a 7.5 twist if I remember correctly.
Not the factory barrel. Running a Douglas.
Really nice shooter at 300 yds, but wanting something for 100 yd UBR modified class.
Trying to work with whats already in the stockpile.

Probably 24 - 26 inches would be good. I've run both and they were really close with M V.

Would you be able to stay under the 13.5# (including scope) weight limit with a 24-26" barrel? If so that would be my thought. WD
And thats one issue as well WD.
That Savage Model 12 is heavy.
With the scope and the existing barrel, it will not make 13.5 lbs.
But the barrel on it now is close to 30 inches.
Barely fits in a standard gun case.
Already have a very nice long range custom 6BR built by Plainfield Engineering here in NC.
Its all I will ever need in a long range 6BR.
Would like to get the Savage to a weight I can use it in the modified class.
Everything else on the rifle is still stock and the Savage trigger is not all that bad.

Was pretty close to 15.5 last time I weighed it if I remember correct.
Will do a different scope to reduce some weight.
Has a Sightron 10-50x60 on it now and its a heavy scope.
Also will go aluminum rings.
Reducing the barrel will help.
Going with a Sightron III ED 45x45 next.
Have one on my 22BR and really like it.
Will probably have to take a little out of the stock also.
That will be my last step if needed.
Want to leave the stock as original if possible.
