14 twist 6BR questions

any yall ever chambered a 14 twist 6BR for the 68 gr bullets,,what freebore if any did you use and what kind of speeds can you get from say a 25 inch bbl???

any knowledge would be helpful,,also considering a 14 twist 22BR ,,with the length of the 6BR necks I would think very little freebore would be needed for either the 22 or 6mm with 52 or 68 gr bullets,,

I shot Kruzans 9 twist 22BR but would like some info on a 14 twist version for lighter bullets,,

I built mine with 0 frebore to shoot 58's, it shoots 70's as well.

I shoot a Shilen 14-twist 24-inch finished length. I don't know what the free bore is and dont really care much. It's the same reamer that was used on my first one and it shoots almost exactly the same load as the earlier version. I get about 3300 fps with 68 BTs, LT-32, BR-4s. It's a tackdriver if I do my part.

On the 22BR, a 1-12 will let you use the 53gr. V-Max's, which will get ya to 800.

14 twist 6 BR's just don't shoot 65 grain pills at all....

.025" free bore, no-turn .271", 65 grain V-max, VV N135, 3350fps

My 6mm BR 1/14" rifle is built on a Remington 700 and set up to feed from CDI bottom metal using modified 223 Accuracy Int. magazines. It runs like a champ too. Here are the first 3 shots out of the rifle at 100 yards. I worked up a load using AA2230 and Nosler 55 BTs with the same accuracy at 3920 fps.

Here is the first victim, my 6 BR shut him off like he had a light switch.
