I agree with Mark, in LRBR, my rifle goes 2x. 2” at 600 turns into 4” at 1000.2x +
If you compare records at 600 to 1,000 (maybe not the best way) the 600 yard record is just over .3" and at 1,000 it is just over 1". That comes out to about 3X difference. On ave. with let's say perfect conditions, how much do your groups grow from 600 to 1000?
1.5x twice or 3 times?
On a good day! For myself,probably 3x2x +
I just checked my 8 target group aggs from Rendezvous this past June, the conditions were nowhere near perfect by any means
8 targets @600 2.131"
8 targets @1K 5.353"
This is just a hair over 2.5X and in line with my results as well. We measure all of our F class open groups in terms of 20 shot groups by multiplying the Height of group in MOA, by the Width of the group in MOA. We MOA SQUARED. We have literally hundreds of print out from shotmarker. It’s really easy to do if you just take a screen shot of each of your 20 shot groups (some matches won’t allow up to take a finished 20 shot group). From a quick review of several groups, from 600 to 1000 yards it appears our groups in similar conditions from 600 to 1000 yards see to increase by 2-4X (with 2X being extremely low winds, and 4X being a moderate/aggressive or quickly reversing winds).I just checked my 8 target group aggs from Rendezvous this past June, the conditions were nowhere near perfect by any means
