Brass jags

What say you now?
I’d say you're full of it.

I have never used a cleaner that didn’t make a brass jag blue up. Not once.

Yesterday, I accidentally left a brush on the bench (didn’t hit it with brake cleaner) and it was solid black and blue within an hour.

Could be your solvent is dead or separated, but most likely you just didn’t want to say you were wrong.

Or, you could just be the smartest man in history…. No it’s not that.

This is like trying to tell someone the sky is blue. Ridiculous.

New aqueous based solvents may not react with the brass; I don't know, never tested them.

But those containing ammonia will, such as Shooter Choices, Sweets, and even Hoppe's 9 has a small amount of Ammonia. This is easy to test.
Stick your nose over this with the cap off and after you're done coughing, tell me there's no ammonia in it.
Bought it in 2001. Works well enough it doesn't take much.

Different patch. Different jag. Same solvent.
