Palma rifle, Which is Target Rifle in the other countries like Canada and from where Fclass originated from both FTR and F Open. Palma Dates back to the 1800's. There ya go....Just a little useless information for ya. LOLWhat does PR stand for in the scores above?
Looking at the roster , there are several former XTC shooters in there. Belly shooting under a canopy only and not humping gear all day has its appeal. Particularly the older I get. What does it say about Highpower Across the Course when the number of participants in this match dwarfed the number of participants for the NRA National Matches held at the same range? Inquiring minds want to know, ya know.........
It says a lot of things and one of those things is that the XTC shooters decided not to support the match. What does it say about Highpower Across the Course when the number of participants in this match dwarfed the number of participants for the NRA National Matches held at the same range? The CMP matches for XC and service rifle still draw good numbers of competitors. The NRA has not supported its shooters for a long time so many don’t feel any loyalty to the NRA.Looking at the roster , there are several former XTC shooters in there. I wouldn't mind trying the belly game sometime, but, I can't sling up anymore with the shoulder problems and since my stroke I have a holy hell getting up if I am down on my belly! This getting old thing is a bitch!Looking at the roster , there are several former XTC shooters in there. Belly shooting under a canopy only and not humping gear all day has its appeal. Sounds like you need to play in F- Bench class Joe. Some ranges are equipped to handle that.I wouldn't mind trying the belly game sometime, but, I can't sling up anymore with the shoulder problems and since my stroke I have a holy hell getting up if I am down on my belly! Fully agree. Bob. Did Perry for a decade and after knocking out HM/DR/P100 with SR, wind reading at MR and LR was more attractive to me than still doing XTC with a better rifle / cartridge system. The CMP matches for XC and service rifle still draw good numbers of competitors. XC shooting takes a lot of practice n stamina to compete at the high levels. It’s a younger persons game. As u get older, the motivation and physical demands for XC becomes an issue. Specializing in MR and LR prone is its own special challenge.
This match is mostly Palma course. So you are moving gear between yard lines, and there are no canopies to shoot under. You can’t hardly put up a roof in the middle of the range, then shoot through it from the 1200 yd line.Looking at the roster , there are several former XTC shooters in there. I don't know about that Jeff. It is a serious investment, very serious investment, in the F-Class game to be competitive and at my age don't think the CFO of the familial corporation would sign off on that investment. I include commitment in that investment. Did that for more than 20 years in HP and I just don't have that in me anymore.Sounds like you need to play in F- Bench class Joe.
