Back with my 6mmBR

I'm beginning to believe this is the best I can do . Old age has set in and I have lots of floaters and have trouble seeing the dots .
Some of the bullets are going in straight(stabilized) and some are not.......might be your 1:8 twist spinning them. Pretty fast twist for 6mm 67gn bullets. If you know your muzzle velocity, you can calculate RPM's....
may be too much for thin skin BR bullets. Good luck and stay safe.

That is two almost in the same hole not key hole .

It is only getting 3100FPC it should be able to handle that . don't you think ?
That's 279,00rpm's. The unstable bullets may be caused by many different things such bullet alignment in the neck if the necks have not been turned uniformly or the brass has not been fireformed properly to fit the chamber or poor seating die or crown needs work, etc. There's no hard fast rule....just do the best you know how or find out if you're missing something. Those bullets are designed for slower twist barrels.
I'm sure somebody else has fired similar bullets in fast twist barrels and can add some enlightenment.
It'd be interesting to hear.

In Burger Twist Rate Stability Calculator a 65gr bullet at 3100 FPC is very stable . But with my 8 twist maybe my 3100 may be a little to fast . So maybe I should be shooting some 87 or 90 grain that I have , I do have some 105s but just to punch holes in paper ,I would rather use lighter IF I could .

My seating die is a custom die made with my reamer and a Wilson micro stem top . My chamber is .272 no turn but I did turn to clean them up , and only size half the neck , to make sure the brass is lined up in the chamber . I'll try some 90 gr next . Thanks for the comments.

Hey Art. Those are some good groups.
Let's go shooting again. I just put another 30br together.
You shoot after work ? I can be there any time I think . Have to get some more loaded . I don't like the two groups I shot that were .297 and .351 . It should be in the low .200 all the time .

Look at the bullet holes on the right side noted as 31.5gn & 31.8gn & 32.0gn of Varget especially the bullet holes off by themselves.........bullet entry sure looks offcenter.
I don't see any oblong holes, only the camera angle showing one side of the bent paper petals and not the bottom, but again that isdue to the camera angle
