Tikka T3 with McRee Precision Stock

Good Morning, this is my first post and I was hoping the community could provide me some help. I have a Tikka T3 with an "MP stamped on it. The MP is inside of a spade, Like what you would see on a playing card. The gun does not have any markings on it to look like a T3x but the gun is built mostly like the Tikka T3x Ace Game. Anyone have any thoughts on what this could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Screenshot 2025-05-23 at 7.53.23 AM.png

Thanks guys, @joshb I had seen these but because the gun is marked as "T3" and not "T3x" I figured it wasn't correct. Any thoughts on that part of it? I agree that this is the closest version....

The chassis on your rifle ,looks different than the one pictured on the ACE. Someone probably took a T3 and put it in that chassis.

It looks like someone cobbled together a gun to make it look like an Ace.

First, as far as I know, none of the Ace chassis are folders.
Second, the Ace is a T3x action. There were no chassis T3s
Third, the "Tikka" and the spade were added after the fact. Not sure what chassis that is, but it is modular and the Tikka factor chassis is not (other than the grip).
Fourth, why would you add a forward pistol grip? Use as a barrier stop maybe? Still dumb, IMHO.
Fifth, barrel length is too short. Tikka Ace rifles are all 24" or 26" guns except for the .223 version. This looks to be a CTR barrel that was put on the T3 action.

Overall, even with all of those things, the T3 action and trigger are still great, and if it is a factory CTR barrel that is on it, it will most likely shoot great (once you put a decent scope and rings on it). I would want to know exactly what chassis that is before buying it, however. This one looks to be one of the $500 versions that are heavy, not the $1200 version which are light.

Thank you all for the help, lots of interesting points. Starting to wonder if this is a "frankingun". @HandgunHTR front pistol grip has since come off, it was to help my wife shooting but the gun has too much kick for her. Scope is terrible, but the gun fires really well.

Hi. I found one picture of a similar gun. It was shown in the Tikka site, subsection “Old guns”. Nothing beyond that. It’s an odd ball. Maybe the first example of the Ace guns?
What’s the story? Where did you find it and when? Could it be a prototype?
Oh, is that scope a Millett? Junk!
