Lapping .0002 out of a Carbide Bullet Die

I had a tight chamber once and tried to Lap the chamber slightly larger using the brass case for that chamber as its Lap
(spinning the barrel dialed in on the Lathe - took like an hour just to get .0005")
Good I suppose if you're trying to go slow and careful
But for me that was too slow.
Meaning brass did not make quick work of it
Perhaps Cast Iron would be a good suggestion for your project
as you could shape, sand etc your cast iron lap them go to work.

Over on CastBoolits, theres a guy going by BTSniper that makes swaging dies. he did a writeup on making them and would cast a lead lap and used diamond paste, way finer than 600 I believe, if you go there I believe the writeup is still there.

I get Lapidary Lapping compound from ebay for my lapping needs,
you can get pretty much any grit you want up to 200,000
It's like $15 per tube
it also lists that it is 50% concentration which is kind of nice they even spec that out.
Since others could simply be more grease than grit.

You can purchase 100% concentration which is less grease from other manufacturers but then again it is more expensive.

do you have a link?
Thanks!
Just wondering how much more expensive
50% concentration does really well, just FYI espesially if a guy wants to ensure he doesn't get too
Lap Happy and overdo it lol.
