Seekins Rifles -- Informed Opinions?

The bolts on my HITS all smoothed out very nicely after a few hundred rds. Slicker than sour owl poop now
Sir when I hit your link of the video this morning it played a whole different one than what’s shown now. Do you know which one it was? It gave a lot of history about Matty and him coming to work for Seekins.

I have a PH2 in 6.5 PRC. I really like it, but it isn't perfect. I feel the length of pull is a bit short. The bolt body I believe is aluminum, and seems to be picky as to what lube to use; get it wrong and running the bolt can feel sticky. Aside from pull length, the stock is quite comfortable. The aesthetics are top notch, it's easy to find a good load, and even with a 30 ounce Burris XTR its plenty easy to carry.

The PH3 is out now. It features a 3 lug 60° bolt, adjustable comb, and fore end rail..

There is an Eastman Hunting journal podcast that is pretty much all Matty but that’s not the one I posted on 18. They’re all good. Dudes a character and rides for the Brand. Gotta love that. I ride for em too as there’s not many more left I care to ride for.

Thanks I’m sure it was my excellent computer skills that made the wrong video play this morning. lol!

We are a community to help our fellow shooters here; therefore, I find your statement to be outright disgusting especially when you expect someone to pay for our inputs.
I am sorry (sort of) if I hurt your feelings.
The OP has been on here for 8 years so I think he is fully aware of the experience, knowledge and expertise of everyone on this forum. In my opinion a $25 donation isn’t life altering, and should be paid to support the boss and all his efforts! I had a bad day dealing with a bunch of self “entitled” individuals so I probably shouldn’t have worded my comment that way.

“Hurt (my) feelings”??? What a crock!

All I did was calling you out based on your derogatory comments toward a member genuinely asking for our help, nothing more.

Seekins is top notch! I have 3 Hit Pros and they are feature rich with as good a customer service as there is! Video below is a shop tour. They make nearly everything with little to no outsourcing.

That video blew me away!
I've been around CNC machining most of my adult life, first as an operator, then a programmer, and for the last 11 years maintaining them. I am in awe of what they're doing there.

Anyone in the know of what barrel replacement profile is going to fit these new PH3 Seekins rifles?
Or maybe barrel contour would have been a better word.

By e-mail they said they came with a small radial hunter brake installed. Hunter style barrel that would be a 4.5 in the numbering system?
You could request a thread protector after purchase if you didn’t want to use the brake.

Great company. Great products. I know Glen personally, he used to shoot the Larue Texas Multi-gun Championship at Best of the West. Glen is a fine businessman, stands behind his products and was a generous donor/sponsor to shooting sports.

well, I’m sure more folks would be willing to type up their findings for a paid membership.
I typed a further prerogative on this but I deleted it as I would be rightfully banned from the forum if I posted it.
All I’m saying is the OP could get more info if the person would purchase a $25 membership.
Wow, just....wow. People like you are the worst part about this hobby.

Anywho, as the owner of a Havak Hit I have two primary complaints:
1. proprietary inlet on the Havak HIT - you're stuck with their chassis and nobody that I am aware of will inlet for it as the recoil lug is part of the chassis rather than the barreled action, also action screw spacing means you can't use R700 DBM
2. with AICS mags, the bolt will hang up with ANY upward pressure on the magazine

Even with those considerations, I think it is a great rifle. The quick change barrel capability is cool, even if it's not really practical for Everyday Joe. Mine is regularly 0.5 moa or better with factory ammo. My best group to date was 10 shots in 0.24" with factory Hornady Match.

I would like to try one of their AR platform rifles but the goofy enlarged trigger guard with the drilled holes just looks tacky to me.
