Seekins Rifles -- Informed Opinions?

That doesn’t seem like a very convincing argument for him to become a member.
well, I’m sure more folks would be willing to type up their findings for a paid membership.
I typed a further prerogative on this but I deleted it as I would be rightfully banned from the forum if I posted it.
All I’m saying is the OP could get more info if the person would purchase a $25 membership.

Seekins rifles are very nice and shoot well. I’d stay away from the light weight option and carbon barrels. I don’t think I’ve seen one that shot worse than .75 moa with factory ammo. They’re a good company.

Or maybe just allow unpaid members to get a better feel and taste out of this forum before they wish to contribute? Leave that choice up to the member to decide if they find this forum to be useful and then contribute on their own will.

Even those unpaid members that have been around for years should not be pressed to pay up against their will. This is America; let them make their choice.

IMO you are being a bit too harsh and that can easily be discouraging to those unpaid members to upgrade.

Neat rifles imo. Once the price gets up there past 3k I think a guy is better off building exactly what he wants with a good gunsmith but the Havak 3 PH3 is a lot of rifle for sub 2k. I have two friends who use Gen 2s, I load for one of them and after some load development it would consistently put 3 in .5 Moa. It cleaned up nicely too, the bore felt nice when cleaning.

If you were a paid member I’d share my experience.
I've been a member longer than you. As for a paid member I was gold until a few months ago. Just haven't renewed yet. What can you tell me about Seekins that I don't already know? I had a PH2 in 6.5 Creedmoor for a while. Someone wanted it more than me.

Check my status. I'm a Gold member once again. Happy now?

Well @Steve morgan , you got a taste of what a small portion of the forum members are like. Overall many members are helpful and there is a lot of expertise .

I've handled a Seekins rifle and was very impressed. I've used Seekins scope rails and rings and have been pleased with the results.

I recently upgraded my membership so that I could place more ads . It was $30

This pretty much sums it up. While I do not own one, I have directed a few of my friends that wanted factory over custom. It saved them from buying Fierce or Christensen. Of the 5 that I have handled and shot (3 PHs and 2 Elements) all have shot consistently well with factory ammo. The Elements are a bit more finicky due to being very lightweight, so shooting fundamentals are critical.
The triggers are good, I really like the ergos of the stock, but for someone who isn't used to a vertical grip stock they can take some getting used to. The barrels are excellent and don't walk when hot. The aesthetic features are really good as well.
So, if you like them so much why don't you own one, you may ask? Mainly because for the same money as an Element, I can buy a SS Tikka donor, a shouldered prefit, and a Stocky's VG stock, and build myself a gun that will perform just as good, or better, as the Seekins. A small bit of work, and I can put it together myself as well.
