Bix and Andy comp trigger issue

Interesting to see this comment. The information I have is different but it is not my story to retell.

Who is making this accusation?

I wondered the same thing.
I looked on the net when I first heard this rumor and couldn't find anything of merit.
I posed a question on FakeBook and the Admins took it down....... the background story was one of the admins sells the other trigger?????? Zero explanation to me, the admins just threw a grenade in the room and walked away.

In my limited testing, the Sidhe triggers are fantastic.

I was told that Sidhe was the manufacturer of the Flavio. But dont know any details, seems there may have been a falling out. But thats all second hand.

Thanks Alex,
As the US distributor for Sidhe SRL I can say have been told the same.

Also, I have stated in other forums...
.....
I have found Luca and the Sidhe team in Italy to be an honorable, helpful and reliable partner in this venture (PAR Solutions). Luca and Victoriia came to the US in November (2024) and gave me a crash course on supporting the current as well as the legacy triggers (first generation). I also was provided a small inventory of parts for any service that might be needed and have already done one service on a gen I trigger. I gladly offer this support to ANY of the gen I owners in need. The BR EVO is definitely an improvement over the original triggers. I see evolution in the case encapsulation, the updated base is a huge improvement and some of the material selection is also better. Now that I have some time with this trigger I have replaced all my others on my competitive rifles.

I hope for my part I can provide reliable US based service and support and at some point soon I hope to provide reliable availability.
.....

I should also say that Luka and Vik from Sidhe had nothing but kind things to say about Fulvio and it sounded like they were still friendly.

As the US distributor I have definite opinions on the history and the quality of the trigger but I automatically discount them because I know I am not impartial. I assume others would rightfully discount them as well. Hopefully I can keep my mouth shut and stick to facts and avoid more second hand stories, opinions and rumors.

I have been lucky in a short time to earn some really great customers and hope I can provide a great trigger and equal or exceed the best service in this space.

B&A They are junk
I dont know how many I have used. Mabee a few 100 Id say. I do work them over. Id say failure rate has to be 5 percent or less on the ones im first hand experianced with. Probably like 1 or 2 percent realy. But even after working them over I sometimes have to do it again after a while. I still like them. But if theres better then Im all for it.

I’ve used triggers from Timney, Jewell, and TriggerTech… they’ve all experienced problems at different times in their life cycle and for different reasons. I’ll be installing a Bix Comp tomorrow and expect to add to my experience base… only unknown is when and why! On the upside, @Alex Wheeler has shared solutions to the problems he has encountered with Bix and there are still more manufacturers that one can try!

I like Jewells too. But Ill tell you a Bix is way easier to fix. Polishing the internals of a Jewell just made them looser and more inconistent. You really needed to recut the sear surfaces to get that really nice light break when you got a problem one. Pita.

Question for those of you that are using a Sidhe.
Did you need a different trigger hanger when switching from a Bix & Andy to get proper firing pin fall?

I've gained some experience here. The Sidhe uses the 30 position on newer BATs and Kelbly has a 20 hanger as well. Mr. Borden has a hangers that are specific to the Sidhe, TT and FF. Ideally you might measure your firing pin travel and check with the action manufacturer or gunsmith on a recommended spec.

I am sure there are others here with more knowledge on this topic. I know I don't know enough about the variety of rimfire actions to speak confidently on this.

Today with my Bix at a match I kept having my firing pin fall while closing the bolt. I’d have to remove my bolt and put it back in without a round to cock and close looking for firing pin fall. Sucked. I was do this the whole match.
I tried to turn the proper Allen head counter clockwise and it didn’t seem to help much. This is a lightly used Bix in a Borden BRMXD. I’ve watched the Bix video on YouTube adjusting trigger pull and setting it so the firing pin doesn’t accidentally drop.

Thoughts?
