Ever lose a piece of equipment that you know is in the house somewhere?

First it was a modified Hornady case in 6DASHER.

I have a new bolt coming today. So this morning I look for my go-gauge. I want to be sure my headspace doesn't change with the new bolt.

Well the damn go gauge is missing worse than a 10mm socket. I have separate Tupperware containers for each caliper. They hold things like comparator bushings, neck bushings, etc that are caliber specific. But my go gauge for 6 Dasher isn't in the 6mm container.

Last I used it was installing my current barrel. So it has to be in the gun room somewhere.

Literally just happened to me! Looking for the case-neck turning head for my old Lyman trimmer...moved it out of the way while looking for it twice. Decided I would probably better not do any reloading today if that's the best I can do!

A great friend passed recently. This morning I was helping his daughter sort and catalog the equipment and all of the accessories/odds and ends in his loading room. I took the lid off a plastic Maxwell House coffee jug to see what was inside. After about 10 minutes of me searching high and low she asked what I was looking for. I said that I’d just taken that lid off and now I can’t find it. She glanced over and said,”It’s under the coffee jug!!”
