300 WSM

I shoot a Sako grey wolf and used it on Whitetails and been quite happy with results. This November I am hoping to hunt Elk in Montana. As a result, I feel I need to step it up and pay closer attention to a couple of items. Would like some input/direction on what to fine tune to get better groups, what are some of your "go to" first steps you take to achieve this? Right now, for whitetails I have been using Federal brass, Nosler BT 150 grain, 58.5 of 4064. I need this to change obviously.

Open to suggestions...

Easy path, Berger 168 gr classic hunter. Than you can use the left overs for deer. Easy to work up a load with these(not seating depth fussing). If your not sure of your load testing methods. Perform well on game. Another easy to work with bullet(tougher deeper penetrating bullet) Speer grand slam.

The 180 grain Nosler Partition is tough to beat and will work equally well on elk, deer and any other large game you have the opportunity to hunt.
